MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL BOARD MEETING––JULY 23, 2007
A special breakfast meeting of the Board was called to order at 7:05 a.m. on the above date by Vice-President Bruce Feikert in the St. Francis High School library, with all members present except John Knodel and Pete Raile.
A motion was made by Bonnie Zweygardt, seconded by Sherry Weeks, and carried to approve the agenda that had been mailed to Board members on July 18, 2007.
One more noncertified contract had been signed and returned for the Board’s signature. Mary Beth Miller made a motion to approve this contract. The motion was seconded by Kelly Gienger and carried.
The Board then turned to the main purpose for this special meeting––a review of the proposed budget for FY 2008.
Following review and discussion of all funds in the FY 2008 budget, Kelly Gienger moved, Bonnie Zweygardt seconded, and it carried that the FY 2008 budget be published in the July 26 edition of the St. Francis Herald as proposed. The overall mill levy for this budget is projected at 34.371 mills (last year’s budget was 34.320 mills). The budget hearing is scheduled to be held at the next regular Board meeting on August 9.
The administration and Board members discussed a few miscellaneous items but no action was taken.
At 8:31 a.m., Bonnie Zweygardt moved that the meeting adjourn; the motion was seconded by Sherry Weeks and carried.
