"We played much better in the second half of this game. Oberlin was able to build a considerable lead by halftime, but we played much “looser” in the second half and started scoring some points. Once we started having some fun out there, we played better. The junior high league tournament begins next week, and by the time the paper comes out on Wednesday, we will have played our first-round game with the Quinter Bulldogs. We are the 7th seed in the tournament this year."
Scoring: Laura Brunk, 7; Clarice Neitzel, 6.

"This was another winnable game, but our slow start and the 5-point cushion we gave Oberlin in the first half were too much for us to overcome. This game was similar to almost all the others we've lost. We started the first half slowly, clawed back to within a couple of points by the 4th quarter, tied the game with a couple minutes left, and had to fight to give ourselves a chance to win.
We had every chance we needed to win, but in the last minute of the game we made some mistakes that allowed the Red Devils to overtake us with a few seconds left. We will be playing Colby in the first round of the tournament."
Scoring: Kaitlyn Figgins, 14; Jenna Hill, 8; Trista Orth, 2.
