Wrestling Team Places 9th in State Tourney

Four Indians Earn Medals

Cody

Four Indian wrestlers came home with medals from the 3-2-1A State Wrestling Tournament in Hays.  Six Indian wrestlers had earned the opportunity to compete in the tournament by placing in the top four positions in the Regional Tournament one week earlier.  Justin Sherlock, regional champion at 152 pounds, was not able to wrestle in the state tournament due to illness.  The other five athletes, Darris Keller, Cody Sherlock, Gavin Smull, Jesse Pacheco, and David Guthmiller all helped contribute to the team score.  St. Francis scored 46 1/2 team points, good enough for ninth place in the team standings.
