State Track Results

Eight athletes performed well enough at the Regional Track and Field Meet in Hays to qualify for the State Track Meet.  The athletes competed in 12 events on May 30 and 31 in Wichita at Cessna Stadium.  The results of their performances are given below.

Women's Events

200 meters--Elizabeth Gienger--Beth ran 27.54 in the preliminaries and then bettered her time in the finals running 27.35.  Beth earned 6th place.

400 meters--Elizabeth Gienger--Beth ran 1:01.89 in the preliminaries and qualified for the finals.  She ran 1:01.17 in the finals to place 5th.

800 meters--Jami Pevler--Jami ran 2:43.80 and placed 15th.

Shot Put--Sidnee Crabtree--Sid threw 34' 7" to place 10th.

Discus--Sidnee Crabtree--Sid threw 102' 4" to place 10th.

Javelin--Sidnee Crabtree--Sid threw 115' 2" to place 10th.

Men's events

100 meter hurdles--Trent Kinen--Trent ran 15.87 in the preliminaries and then 16.11 in the finals to place 5th.

300 meter hurdles--Trent Kinen--Trent ran 42.44 in the preliminaries and then bettered his time to 41.81 in the finals to place 6th.

400 meters--Trent Raile--Trent ran 53.28 to place 12th.

4 X 400 meter relay--Trent Raile, Gavin Smull, Trent Kinen, and Ted Crabtree--The team ran 3:38.80 to place 10th.

Pole Vault--Ted Crabtree--Ted vaulted 13' 6" to place second.

Triple Jump--Matt Raile--Matt jumped 40' 6 1/2" to place 12th.

The women scored 5 team points to place 33rd.  The men scored 13 team points to place 20th.
