Junior High Football Drops Game to Dundy County

On Thursday, Septemeber 11th, the junior high football team played the Dundy County Tigers on Greene Field in St. Francis.  St. Francis lost the game by a score of 6-22.  The only St. Francis score came on a 24 yd pass play from Keegan Sherlock to Foster Grant in the 4th quarter.  Dylan Wolaver ran for the conversion.  St. Francis will next play Oakley at home on September 18th.

Coach Jeff Beims made the following comments about the contest:  "We got manhandled on both sides of the ball in the first half, and dug a hole we couldn't get ourselves out.  The second half was better, but it's obvious we need to work on our mental and physical toughness if we intend to compete.  Our 5th quarter guys played well for the second week in a row.  They continue to improve as they figure out what is expected of them."
