Junior High Students Receive Many Awards
Citizenship Awards Highlight Evening

The junior high students received many well deserved awards at their Awards Assembly on Monday, May 11th. The evening began with the traditional potluck supper in the cafeteria and some fun awards given by both the teachers and students. (Click on the photos to view slide shows of the evening.)
The Awards Assembly followed with many awards presented to the students for their hard work throughout the year including Kansas Assessment Awards; classroom awards in various subjects; athletic, art, and music awards; attendance and honor roll awards; and citizenship awards.
The most prestigious awards given during the evening were the citizenship awards. The state of Kansas awards one 8th grade boy and one 8th grade girl a State of Kansas Citizenship Award. The 2009 recipients were Zach Gienger and Laura Brunk. Also receiving local citizenship awards were Lucas Carmichael, Casey Keller, Krissy Harris, and Katie Lambert.
