High School Teams Place Well in League Meet
The Northwest Kansas League Track and Field Meet was held in Atwood on Friday, May 15th. The St. Francis boys team earned a second place finish in the meet with 78 points. The Lady Indians also performed well earning a third place finish with 72 points. Trent Kinen won three gold medals to pace the mens team. Trent ran 15.21 in the 110 high hurdles and 41.69 to win the 300 m hurdles. Elizabeth Gienger won the womens 200 m in a time of 27.52. Sidnee Crabtree won the NWKL crown in the shot put with a throw of 36' 5". The mens 4 X 100 relay (Trent Kinen, Matt Raile, Trent Raile, and Drew Zweygardt) also won the gold with a time of 45.44.
