Third Graders Have Fun With Activities
The third grade students in Mrs. Wiley's class have been busy lately. In addition to their regular course work, they have been working on some special activities. One the activities, completed in October, was designing pumpkins for Halloween.
Another activity was learning a poem for oral recitation. All of the poems the students learned and presented were different. The students did a great job!
Students also read the book "Flat Stanley" by Jeff Brown in class. It is a story about a little boy who has a bulletin board fall on him. Therefore, he becomes flat. He wants to visit friends in California so his parents place him in an envelope and mail him to his friend's home. The students have made their own "flat person" and have mailed them to see friends and family. The students will map their journeys as part of a future Social Studies class.
