Indians Wrestle Well at Invitational

The St. Francis Indians wrestled well in the St. Francis Invitational on Saturday, December 5th. The team placed fifth in the team standings and had three individual champions.

Adam won the championship at 189

Winning individual championships for the Indians were Terrence Lamb at 135 pounds, Cody Sherlock at 140 pounds, and Adam Guthmiller at 189 pounds. Grady Brunk (160 #) and Foster Grant (112 #) placed third. Placing 4th were Darris Keller at 145 pounds and Freddy Pacheco at 119 pounds.

The team championship was won by Colby with 155 team points.  Burlington, CO placed second with 133 points.  Other team placings were: 3rd-Norton (115.5); 4th-Goodland (108.5); 5th-St. Francis (95.5); 6th-Rawlins County (81); 7th-Wray, CO (52); 8th-Sterling, CO (45); and 9th-Wichita County (20). Burlington's Bon Kinder, champion at 125 pounds, was named the outstanding wrestler of the tournament by a vote of the coaches.
