Rawlins County Wrestlers Defeat Indians
NWKL Tournament Saturday in St. Francis
On Thursday, January 28, the Rawlins County Buffaloes defeated the St. Francis Indians in NWKL wrestling action in St. Francis. The evening had some very close competition, but Rawlins County came out ahead on the scoreboard 29-43. St. Francis had four open weights; Rawlins County had two weights open.

Next action for the wrestling team will be the Northwest Kansas League Tournament on Saturday, January 30th. Wrestling action begins at 9:30 AM. Seven Northwest Kansas League teams will bring their best to St. Francis Saturday. Teams from Colby, Decatur County, Goodland, Hoxie, Oakley, Rawlins County, and St. Francis will be participating. NWKL member Quinter will not participate. This will be the last year for Colby and Goodland to participate as they will not be members of the NWKL beginning next year.
The tournament schedule will be as follows: First round, championship semi-finals, 1st round of consolation, 2nd round of consolation, championship finals (1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place). Admission is $6 for adults and $4 for students. Admission after 1:30 PM is $4 for adults and $3 for students.
