Trent Raile (6'2" senior) averaged 14.6 points and 6 rebounds per game. Trent shot 34% from 3-point range, 50 % from 2-point distance, and 65% from the free throw line. Trent was second on the team in steals with 34 and third in assists with 38.

Coach Jeff Beims made the following comments about Matt and Trent, "I’d like to say that we found a glitch in their transcripts that will require them to start over as freshmen next year, but unfortunately that is not the case. Both of these gentlemen are an invaluable asset to whatever sport they play. They carry themselves with class, and a competitive spirit that have made them stellar athletes in our program for years. More importantly they are young men of good character. Someone once said that you can tell a lot about the character of a man by the way he treats people who can do nothing for him. I have never seen them treat anyone, even the lowliest among us, as anything but a full fledged member of our team. Both Matt and Trent have earned my respect and my gratitude for their contributions during my tenure and they will truly be missed."

Others selected to the All- NWKL mens team were:  Matt Bird – Quinter, Taylor Rall – Hoxie, Patrick Loftus – Oakley, Scott Ochs – Quinter, Brady McKee – Colby, Corbin Stephens – Colby, Jaxsen Moss – Hoxie, and Brady Reed – Quinter.

Those players receiving Honorable Mention were:  Patrick Ahrens – Oakley, Dakota Soderlund – Oberlin, Ryan Hillmer – Goodland, Brandon Rutherford – Atwood, Tad Parsons – Oakley, Brock Wilkens – Goodland, Zach Nemechek – Quinter, and Keaton Argabright - Atwood.

Congratulations, Matt and Trent!
