Students Attend State Art Show
On April 14th, 2010, many St. Francis High School fifty-eight students and their instructor Mary Beikman attended the State Art Show at Gross Coliseum Visual Arts Center in Hays, Kansas. This was the 36th Annual High School Art Exhibition. While at the art show, students toured the following events: Department of Art's "Annual Students Honor Exhibition", Moss-Thorns Gallery of Art, a Sidewalk Chalk Drawing Competition, Interior Design Projects and Materials Display, Graphic Computer Presentations, Ceramic Demonstrations, and Blacksmithing Demonstrations.
Entries were judged by John C. Thorns, Jr--Chair Professor Emeritus at Fort Hays State University; Kathleen Kuchar--Professor Emeritus at Fort Hays State University, and Darrell McGinnis--Professor Emeritus at Fort Hays State University. St. Francis students earned forty awards for their outstanding work.
