In the A team match against Decatur Community, the young Lady Indians revenged a loss earlier in the week, by winning 25-20; 25-14. McKenzie Taylor (10), Kayla Reed (9), and Caroleve Harris (7) led the Lady Indians in serving.

In B team action, St. Francis lost to Hoxie in three sets:  18-25; 25-17; 5-15. Sydney Sunstrom had 11 good serves while Katie Schmid had 9 and Sophie White 8.

In the Trego Community match, St. Francis won in two sets: 25-12; 26-24. Alexis Frink led all St. Francis servers with 11 good ones. Sydney Sundstrom, Jenna Confer, and Katie Schmid each had 8 good serves.

St. Francis also defeated the Decatur Community B team in two sets 25-7; 25-9. Sophie White led the Sainty serving with 9 good serves.  Alexis Frink and Jenna Confer each had 8 good ones.

Coach Tina Elliott made the following comments on the day, "The A & B teams played in different gyms at the same time for this tournament so Talley Morrow filled in and coached the B team. A team struggled against Hoxie and lost in 2 sets, then against Trego it was close we took them into 3 sets but lost in the end by 2 points. We didn’t give up and came out strong and beat Oberlin for our final match of the day. B team also struggled against Hoxie but put up a good fight and took them into 3 sets. Against Trego & Oberlin we came on strong and had good serves which definitely helped us to win. We defeated both of them in just 2 sets making it a great way to finish the day. Overall, A team had their struggles but worked through them to have the final win with 1 out of 3 wins for the day. B team didn’t get down after their first match and really took charge of the next two matches giving them 2 out of 3 wins for the day. Only one more match before league and then a lot of practice in between to work out some of our short comings and I have confidence in these girls that they will continue to work hard on their technique and how they play and will finish well in the season."
