JH Volleyballers Defeated by Dundy
The junior high volleyball teams were both defeated by Dundy County on Thursday, September 29th, in St. Francis. The A-team lost to Dundy County by scores of 4-25; 20-25. Emliy Elfers and McKenzie Taylor led the team in good serves with five each.
The B-team lost by scores of 18-25; 24-26. Katie Schmid led the B-team serving with 10 good ones. Kattie Jenik had 7 good serves while Sophie White and Jenna Confer each had six.
Coach Elliott had the following comments on the evening's matches, "This was a very bad night for us. Plain and simple, the A Team lost and mostly they defeated themselves with their attitudes and not working together as a team. The B team worked on staying positive and played as a team; even though it was close we ended up losing that match as well. Overall both teams have a good record having more wins then losses so that should put us in a good position on the brackets for league tournament. Until then, we have to focus in practice on playing the game of volleyball without getting down on ourselves and each other and erasing the attitude at all costs."
The NWKL Junior High Volleyball Tournament will be held on Thursday, October 20th.
