JH Wrestlers Compete with Hoxie

Taylor

The junior high wrestling team competed with the Hoxie Indians on Thursday evening, January 26th, in St. Francis.  Hoxie had a very limited number of wrestlers (four) for competition, so several rounds of action were used during the evening to help get the athletes matches.  Several Indian wrestlers competed in exhibition matches against an Indian teammate.

Assistant Coach Bruce Swihart had the following comment about the evening, "The thing that impressed me most about the kid's effort this week was that we continued to fight in the third period.  We either won matches or improved the score in the third period and that is a tribute to our kids."

The Indians will wrestle in Oberlin on Thursday, February 2nd.
