Education:
Kim completed her degree in Elementary Education at Prescott College in Northern Arizona. She obtained a M.S. degree in Special Education with emphasis on Gifted Education from Fort Hays State University in 2004.
Experience:
Kim has 23 years of teaching experience. She worked for a year as a substitute teacher and for a year at an alternative school in Phoenix, AZ. After moving to St. Francis, she has spent all of her teaching career working with elementary-age students in Title 1. For years, Kim has taught Sunday School to elementary and high school students. She and her husband have two children, so she is well aware of the issues that parents and students face today.
Current Responsibilities:
Kim teaches Reading and Math to students in grades 1-5. She is on the Bullying Committee and is the administrator of the school-wide Bucketfiller Program. Kim is also the administrator of the high school / grade school Buddy Program.
