Elementary Students Spread Christmas Cheer
On Wednesday, December 16th, the students in the St. Francis Elementary School celebrated the Christmas holiday with various activities throughout the day. The students were dressed especially nice when they arrived at school. The attached photos show students at various times throughout the day.
The elementary students participated in normal school activities and lessons throughout much of the day, but also were also involved in several special activities. Throughout the morning hours, different classes attended a Christmas Tea held at the home of Robin Burr, elementary staff member. The students also gave a musical concert at the high school for the high school students and many community members. The elementary students also performed several numbers with the high school music students.
Later in the day, the elementary students took an offering of food items to the Food Pantry at the Cheyenne County Court House to be distributed to the needy at Christmas. The students also sang Christmas carols at the Court House, the Cheyenne County Hospital, and the Good Samaritan Village. The students brought a lot of smiles to community members and seemed to have a great time doing so.
Merry Christmas!
