Citizenship Awards Announced

May 20, 2010

One of the most prestigious awards a student can receive at St. Francis Community Schools is the Citizenship Award. This award is given to one senior girl and one senior boy each year. The recipients are selected by a vote of the faculty. This year's girl recipient is Brooklyn Hnizdil, daughter of Tom and Marilyn Hnizdil. The recipient of the boys award is Matt Raile, son of Delbert and Marilyn Raile.

Citizenship awards are also given to three eighth grade students. Two boys and two girls were selected as runners-up for the award. This year, Randee Grover, daughter of Raquel and Shannon Grover, and Aly Schlepp, daughter of Lisa and Spencer Schlepp, were selected for the girls runner-up awards. Lane Hoffman and Gaten Cooper were selected as the boys runners-up. Lane is the son of Joe and Jen Hoffman. Gaten's parents are Greg and Janan Cooper.

The citizenship award winners for the eighth grade class were Bailey Merklin, daughter of Natasha Culwell and Steve Merklin, and Mason Schiltz, son of Rob and Carla Schiltz.
