2012-2013 School Year Rapidly Approaching
Enrollment Set for August 7 & 8
The 2012-2013 school year is rapidly approaching! Enrollment will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 7 & 8, from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. ALL GRADES will be enrolling at the high school cafeteria with elementary enrollment being held on one side and the junior-senior high enrollment on the other side of the cafeteria.
Parents should be prepared to review student information and pay fees for book rental, activity tickets, towel fees, and lunch tickets. Yearbook purchases can also be made during enrollment. Kindergarten students enrolling for the first time will need to bring proof of immunization and a birth certificate.
All students and their parents will be required to sign an internet user policy. Abuse of the school internet will result in students not being allowed internet access.
School activities will soon be in full swing. The first day of school is Tuesday, August 21, with all students attending from 8:35 AM until 11:35 PM. All students will attend a full day of school beginning on Wednesday, August 22. School will dismiss at 3:45 PM on a regular school days.
The PTA will hold a "Meet the Teacher Night" at the grade school on Monday, August 27, at 6:30 PM.
As required by the KSHSAA, all athletes must have a signed physical form on file at the school before they can participate in any practices. Physical forms may be picked up at the local clinics or at the high school office. High school sports practice for the football and volleyball teams will begin on Monday, August 13. Open house is scheduled for 7:00 PM on Friday, August 24.
The high school volleyball team will open their season against Hoxie and Golden Plains on Tuesday, August 28 in St. Francis. The high school football team will play their first game on Friday, August 31, when the Indians clash with the Holyoke Dragons in Holyoke, Colorado.
