JH Track Teams Compete in Atwood Triangular
Two New School Records Set in Hurdle Events
On Thursday, April 28th, the junior high track teams competed in a triangular track meet in Atwood. The three competing teams were Rawlins County, Quinter, and St. Francis. The meet was run in two divisions--girls and boys.
The St. Francis athletes scored well in the meet. Team scoring was not currently available but will be added when it becomes available. Two new school records were set. McKayla Taylor set a new 8th grade girls school record in the 200 meter hurdles running 33.34. The old record of 35.82 was set earlier this season by McKayla. McKenzie Taylor set a new record for the 7th girls 100 meter hurdles with a time of 17.56 bettering her old record set this season of 17.61.
