Junior High Boys Compete Well at NWKL
The junior high boys basketball teams competed well in the Northwest Kansas League Tournament in Hoxie on Thursday, December 15th. The B-Team won the league championship and the A-Team placed 3rd.
The B-Team opened their day of competition by playing against Hoxie. St. Francis defeated Hoxie 43-20. St. Francis then faced Decatur Community in the championship game. The young Indians won the the NWKL championship 40-29.
The A-Team matched up with Decatur Community in the semi-final round of the tournament. St. Francis was defeated 33-43. Decatur Community went on to win the A-Team championship. In the third place game, St. Francis defeated Rawlins County 35-16.
