Coach Nathan Smith commented, "We moved some kids around trying to win the dual and it played out like the coaches thought.  We were ahead by 2 going into the 220lb match.  We gave ourselves a chance to beat the #2 team in the state we just couldn't capitalize.  For the most part I think our kids competed well against a more experienced line-up."

The evening was also Senior Night. Seniors Paul Nelson and Caitlin Northrup (manager) and their parents were recognized before the wrestling began.

The Indians will wrestle Smith Center in Smith Center on Friday, January 27th, and then participate in the Western Kansas Challenge in Smith Center on Saturday, January 28th.
