Car Show Proceeds Go to College Scholarships

The Cheyenne County Cruisers will be holding the 14th annual "Saturday In the Park Car and Bike Show" on May 10th at Sawhill Park in St. Francis. The club has several nice items to be given away at the show including a large tool chest (see photo). Tickets for the tool chest and other items will be available on the day of the show or by contacting any club member.

Proceeds from from the show, will go toward college scholarships for graduating seniors. Using proceeds from past shows, the Cruisers have previously presented 44 scholarships. The Cheyenne County Cruisers Car Club has given away thousands of dollars in scholarships and sponsored many other community projects and will continue to do so as funds allow. If you are interested in supporting the club (and graduating seniors), you may purchase tickets at the show on May 10th. If you would like to make a donation to the club to be used for scholarships, contact Kent Kechter (785-332-0039) or other club members for additional information.

Weather permitting, Aurora Honda's St. Judes' "Ride the Plains to the Car Show" ride will stop in St. Francis for the car show with approximately 100 motorcycles. The Aurora Harley-Davidson Club also plans to arrive in St. Francis for the show. They also plan to have 50+ riders.

The Cheyenne County Cruisers will give away two new bicycles at the show.  Kids are encouraged to sign up for the free drawing.

The Cruisers will sponsor a short poker run for show participants in the afternoon. 

Please vote for your favorite vehicles. A "People's Choice" award will be given away at the awards assembly (along with many other prizes and awards). The "People's Choice" award is sponsored the Wyo-Tech.

Also, in conjunction with the show, Yost Ford and Ford Motor Company are sponsoring a "Drive For Your Community" program. The program will begin at 8 a.m. and continue until 5 p.m. Participants (18 and older) can sign up and drive new Ford vehicles at the show. For each registrant, Ford will donate $25 to the local "Drive For Your Community" project for St. Francis ($6000 maximum). Proceeds from the program have bee earmarked for the motorcycle museum project. Please sign up and drive!

There is a registration fee to enter the show. All vehicle are welcome!

Reminder:  Please remember that many of the vehicles are very rare and/or expensive. Please LOOK BUT DON'T TOUCH. Please do not bring skateboards, bicycles, pets, etc. into the show area. Thank you!
