Track Teams Compete in Triplains Invitational
The Triplains Invitational Track and Field Meet was held in Colby on Tuesday, April 15th. The sixteen team meet was a good test for many area track squads. The St. Francis Indian boys team placed 3rd in the meet. The Lady Indians place 9th.
Wallace County dominated the boys division scoring 133 team points. Northern Valley was a distant second with 64 points. St. Francis placed third with 59 team points. The remainder of the boys teams finished in the following order: 4th - Weskan 56; 5th - Brewster 39; 6th - Oakley 38; 7th - Cheylin 34; 8th Wheatland 28; 9th - Heartland Christian 26; 10th - Golden Plains 25; 11th - Trego Community 16; 12th (tie) - Greeley County 13; 12th (tie) - Quinter 13; 14th - Triplains 11; 15th - Western Plains 3.
Wheatland won the girls division easily outscoring second-place Wallace County 119 to 73. The other girls team scoring and placings were: 3rd (tie) - Northern Valley 50; 3rd (tie) - Golden Plains 50; 5th (tie) - Trego Comunity 39; 5th (tie) Triplains 39; 7th - Quinter 38; 8th - Greeley County 37; 9th - St. Francis 34; 10th - Cheylin 28; 11th - Weskan 17; 12th - Western Plains 13; 13th (tie) - Oakley 8; 13th (tie) - Palco 8; 15th - Heartland Christian 4; and 16th Brewster 1.
St. Francis Indians placing in the meet were:
Logan Lampe: 1st in 100 meters (11.89); 4th in 200 meters (24.23)
Lane Hobrock: 6th in 400 meters (58.31)
Garrett Brunk: 3rd in 300 meter hurdles (46.09)
Lenny Olivares: 3rd in Discus (122' 2")
Cade Bracelin : 4th in Discus (119' 8"); 4th in Javelin (144' 5")
Mason Schiltz: 4th in Pole Vault (11' 6")
4 X 100 meter relay: 1st (46.25) Lane Hobrock, Carl Fabre, Logan Lampe, and Cade Bracelin
4 X 200 meter relay: 2nd (3:45.12) Derek Queen, Logan Lampe, Matt Howell, and Justin Pacheco
4 X 800 meter relay: 5th (10:09.54) Matt Howell, Lane Hoffman, Jacob McWilliams, and Quinton Cravens

McKenzie Taylor: 5th in 100 meter hurdles 18.00
