SFCHS Track Teams Compete in NWKL Meet
Boys 3rd, Girls 6th
On Thursday, May 15th, the St. Francis High School Track teams competed in the Northwest Kansas League Track and Field Meet in Tribune, Kansas. The Indians placed 3rd in the boys division. The Lady Indians placed third in the girls division.
Wichita County won the boys division with 108 team points. Wallace County was a close second with 99 team points. St. Francis scored 79 points to place third. The remainder of the boys division standings were as follows: 4th - Hoxie 75, 5th - Rawlins County 63, 6th - Quinter 32, 7th - Decatur Community 31, 8th - Greeley County 26, 9th - Trego Community 24, and 10th - Dioghton 21.
Indians placing in the Northwest Kansas League Track Meet were:
Cade Bracelin: 2nd in javelin (157' 4")
Garrett Brunk: 5th in 300 meter hurdles (45.55)
Logan Lampe: 5th in 100 meters (11.44), 3rd in 200 meters (23.71)
Wyatt Landenberger: 6th in triple jump (37' 11.5")
Lenny Olivares: 2nd in discus (136' 9")
Justin Pacheco: 6th in 300 meter hurdles (46.86)
Derek Queen: 1st in 400 meters (53.67), 2nd in 100 meters (11.33)
Taylor Rogers: 3rd in 400 meters (54.50)
Mason Schiltz: 1st in pole vault (12' 6")
4 X 100 relay: 2nd - Logan Lampe, Derek Queen, Cade Bracelin, and Taylor Rogers (45.89)
4 X 400 relay: 2nd - Logan Lampe, Taylor Rogers, Derek Queen, and Lane Hobrock (3:36.12)
4 X 800 relay: 6th - Matt Howell, Trinity Weers, Matt White, and Zach White (10:34.28)
Decatur Community won the girls division with 103.5 team points. The final girls team results were: 2nd - Wallace County 73.5, 3rd - Quinter 65.5, 4th - Wichita County 57, 5th - Hoxie 49, 6th - St. Francis 47, 7th - Trego Community 41, 8th - Rawlins County 40, 9th - Greeley County 39.5, and 10th Dighton - 38.

Emily Elfers: 2nd in 300 meter hurdles (52.58)
Jouney Lee: 3rd in pole vault (8' 0")
Dallas Reed: 1st in pole vault (9' 0")
McKenzie Taylor: 3rd in 100 meter hurdles (17.89); 4th in long jump (15' 2.5")
Valerie Wurm 3rd in 100 meters (13.13)
4 X 100 meter relay: 3rd - McKayla Taylor, Val Wurm, Emily Elfers, and McKenzie Taylor (53.40)
4 X 400 meter relay: 6th - Emily Elfers, Ashlee Orth, Journey Lee, and Kyla Bandel (5:07.25)
