Scholars' Bowl Team Places 2nd in NWKL
On January 12, in Hoxie, the St. Francis High School Scholars' Bowl Team turned in a great performance. After losing the first two matches, the team went on to win the rest of their matches in the Northwest Kansas League Scholars' Bowl Tournament. Jackie Cole, Scholars' Bowl Coach, said, "Thinking that we probably placed third of eight, it was a nice surprise to learn that we had tied with Decatur Community for second or third, and because we had beat them in head to head competition, we placed second. It was great finish to a great regular season of battling brains."
The Scholars' Bowl team will compete in Regional competition in Rolla on February 5th.
