Annual Drama Production a Rousing Success!

The last two nights in the auditorium at SFCHS resounded with howls of laughter and appreciation for the hilarious play, Next Victim, Please written by Rocky Soderman and Terri Ferguson. Pushed to farcical perfection by the talented and hard-working students in this year’s Drama class, the performance elicited giggles, then guffaws, and ultimately gasping-for-breath belly laughs. An unsolicited review from Mrs. Confer sums it up pretty well:  “Congratulations to you and the Advanced Drama crew!  I loved "Next in Line, Please." It was highly entertaining and extremely well done. The kids all had their lines down and established their characters right away. I really thought there was some great acting up there on stage! And, incidentally, it was hilarious!” She goes on to say,”I just love to see kids really get into their parts and characters and this group delivered a great production to the audience. The two "chase" scenes (for lack of a better word) were superior! It reminded me of early Vaudeville slapstick humor and was reminiscent of the silent movie era where you really had to represent your character with actions and drama.

“Your stage crew was magnificent - costumes and staging completed the great afternoon.  Kudos to everyone!”

I heartily concur. My heart was full to bursting at the sight of all the kids pulling off two nearly flawless performances. If you missed it, you really missed it!
