Students Do Well at State Music
Launch the media gallery 1 playerFour St. Francis Community High School solos earned I ratings at the 1A State Music Festival held in Wichita on Saturday. Jenna Confer, sophomore, earned I ratings on both clarinet and vocal solos. Sydney Sundstrom, junior, earned her I rating on a trumpet solo, and Katie Schmid, sophomore, performed a vocal solo to earn her I rating.
Also performing well at the State Festival were Nick Paulsen, trumpet, and Wade Jones, violin. Nick received a II rating and Wade received a III. The 1A State Music Festival was held at Friends University.
Launch the media gallery 2 player"I was extremely pleased with the performances presented by all of these students," said Debbie Fiala, music instructor. "They worked hard to improve their skills this year and represented St. Francis very well.
