Scholars' Bowl Team Begins Competition
On Monday, October 19, 2015, the St. Francis Scholars' Bowl Team traveled to Atwood for their first competition of the season. The team finished with 3 wins and 5 losses and did not place. Coach Jackie Cole stated, "Although we did not place, it was good to get back into it. While only 3 wins is disappointing, we had two matches that came down to the wire and lost by only 1 question. On a final note, I was very proud of the way the team conducted itself compared to some of the other teams. They were poised, mature, and respectful, and that makes them winners."
The students who completed at the first competition in Bird City were: Wade Jones (captain), Payton Beims, Hannah Wolff, Sydney Sundstrom, Danielle Frink, Jacob McWilliams, and Makayla Rogers.
Other team members are: Shelby Wolff, EmmaLee Archuleta, Luin Norris, Nickolai Paulsen, Jake Faulkender, Matthisen Witzel, and Kattie Jenik.
