Wrestlers Compete in Leoti
The St. Francis Indian wrestling team placed second in the Wichita County Wrestling Tournament in Leoti on Friday, February 5, 2016. Wichita County earned a narrow win in the team standings edging the Indians 103 to 102. Lakin placed a close third with 97.5 team points. The remainder of the team placings were: 4th (tie) - Cimarron 89, 4th (tie) - Trego Community 89, 6th - Goodland 54, 7th - Greeley County 45, and 8th - Sublette 39.
St. Francis had three individual win the championship at their weight class. Garrett Brunk (145), Clay DeWaal (152), and Trayton Doyle (220) each placed first. Tiernan Poling placed second at 120 pounds. Coy DeWaal (126) and Luin Norris (195) earned 4th place finishes. Cody Baxter (152) placed 5th.
