Twenty-Nine Seniors Presented Diplomas

St. Francis High School held their annual Commencement Exercises on Sunday, May 15, 2016. Twenty-nine seniors were presented with their graduation diplomas as well as their scholarship packets during the ceremony. 

The concert band provided the processional and recessional under the direction of Debbie Fiala. Jeff Landers, pastor of the First Christian Church gave the invocation. The message was delivered by Erin Day, 1998 graduate of St. Francis High School. Erin now works as a film director in New York City.

Jude Faulkender presented the senior farewell, and Wade Jones presented the senior talk. Diplomas were presented by Rob Schiltz, superintendent of schools, and David Morrow, high school principal.

Seniors graduating with the class of 2016 include the following students. A short note of their future plans is also included.

Payton Beims - Plans to attend Northwest Technical College and Washburn University to study crime scene investigation.

Garrett Brunk - Plans to attend Fort Hays State University to major in agricultural business while taking electives for pre-optometry.

Jakob Church - Plans to attend Manhattan Area Technical College to study automotive collision repair.

Clayton DeWaal - Plans to attend Bethany College to major in business. Clay will also wrestle for Bethany.

Emily Elfers - Plans to attend Kansas State University to study animal science and pre-vet.

Carl Fabre - Plans to attend college to become a physical therapy assistant.

Jude Faulkender - Plans to attend Fort Hays State University to study geology/paleontology.

Francisco Fernandez - Plans to attend Northwest Technical College to study automotive collision repair.

Michaela Ford - Plans to attend Northwest Technical College to study respiratory therapy.

Alexis Frink - Plans to attend Northwest Technical College to study cosmetology.

CarolEve Harris - Plans to attend New Dimensions Beauty Academy (Parker, CO) to study cosmetology.

Christopher Hoard - Plans to attend Northwest Kansas Technical School to study diesel mechanics.

Lane Hobrock - Plans to attend Fort Hays State University to major in media studies with an emphasis in music and audio technology.

Kattie Jenik - Plans to attend Fort Hays State University to study accounting and finance.

Jesse Jenkins - Plans to work at Wal-Mart.

Wade Jones - Plans to attend Fort Hays State University to major in chemistry and minor in music performance.

Journey Lee - Plans to attend Bethany College to study special education. Journey plans to compete in track at Bethany.

Rachael Lee-Hopper - Plans to attend Wichita State University to study sports medicine and child development.

Jacob McWilliams - Plans to attend Fort Hays State University and major in computer science and programming.

Jason Owens - Plans to attend Colby Community College to study nursing.

Justin Pacheco - Plans to attend Fort Hays State University to study business.

Kayla Reed - Plans to attend Fort Hays State University to study nursing and psychology.

Travis Rogers - Plans to attend Johnson Community College to study computer aided drafting and design.

Kylie Sherlock - Plans to attend Fort Hays State University to study English and secondary education.

Hannah Stafford - Plans to attend Colby Community College. Major is undecided.

Sydney Sundstrom - Plans to attend Fort Hays State University to study psychology and music performance.

McKenzie Taylor - Plans to attend the Hays Academy of Hair and Design to study cosmetology.

Zachary White - Plans to attend Northwest Kansas Technical College to study mobile apps and gaming.

Hannah Wolff - Plans to attend Fort Hays State University to double major in biology and secondary education and earn a minor in chemistry.
