Junior High Lady Indians Defeated the Jackrabbits

The Lady Indians took away the win in all three games on Thursday, Sept. 8.Saint Francis, Kan. - The St. Francis junior high volleyball Lady Indians performed a clean sweep against the Greeley County Jackrabbits on Thursday, September 9 on their home court.
The A-team girls fought hard and won both sets, 25-13 and 25-22.
The B-team girls played a close three set game and ended up on top. The first set, the Indians won, 25-21. The second set, the ladies fought hard, but ended up with a loss, 23-25. The final set, the girls brought home the win, 15-6.
The C-team girls put up a hard first set 25-23 and then smoked the second set, 25-10.
Emma Johnson, St. Francis eighth grader, said her favorite part of the game was when the team worked together. “We also had pretty good passes tonight which was really important.”
“We listen to music before the game that really gets me excited to play,” said Johnson.
“Just winning and playing with my friends was my favorite part of tonight,” said Ellee Krien, St. Francis sixth grader.
“Right before we go on the court we jump around and yell and that really pumps me up,” said Krien.
“It was really cool when Emma tipped the ball over the net and scored a point when we were really close at the end,” said Jesslynn Houtman, St. Francis sixth grader. “I think we did a good job supporting each other tonight and being good teammates.”
