St. Francis Junior High Indians Shutout Tribune Jackrabbits

FRANCIS, KS - The St. Francis junior high football team shutout the Tribune Jackrabbits 48-0, Thursday, September 8 on their home turf. Steve Kirkham, St. Francis junior high assistant coach, said the team has been playing very well. “This team is just doing great,” Kirkham said. “Even the smaller players like [Kobe] Tice have been making big tackles.”
Adam Krien, St. Francis eighth grader, said he is excited about how well the team has been playing together, even though it’s the beginning of the season. “The team has gotten really good in the few weeks of practice we have had,” Krien said.

The game ended seconds after halftime because of the Mercy Rule, when the score reached 48-0.
