St. Francis Junior High Indians Shutout Tribune Jackrabbits

ST. FRANCIS, KS - The St. Francis junior high football team shutout the Tribune Jackrabbits 48-0, Thursday, September 8 on their home turf. Steve Kirkham, St. Francis junior high assistant coach, said the team has been playing very well. “This team is just doing great,” Kirkham said. “Even the smaller players like [Kobe] Tice have been making big tackles.”

 

Adam Krien, St. Francis eighth grader, said he is excited about how well the team has been playing together, even though it’s the beginning of the season. “The team has gotten really good in the few weeks of practice we have had,” Krien said.

Nick O’Loughlin, St. Francis junior high head coach, said although there is room for improvement, he is impressed with how well the team is playing already. “We are doing very good this year,” O’Loughlin said. “We do need to work on some things, but we are doing amazing this year.”

 

The game ended seconds after halftime because of the Mercy Rule, when the score reached 48-0.
