Wow! What an exciting night! Music blaring, kids dancing, it was a fun time to be in St. Francis, Kan. From the slow songs to the fast songs it was a great time. There were line dances, swing dances, slow dances, freestyle, and even a conga line at the Saint Francis Homecoming Dance on Saturday night.

We all have to thank DJ Express for coming out here to our very own high school to bring all of the fun with his blaring speakers.

Seniors Taylor Rogers and Jenna Confer became royalty at halftime at the Homecoming game.

Homecoming King Taylor Rogers said, “It’s an honor. It’s also cool knowing that I was voted for by the students.”

Senior and Homecoming Candidate Katie Schmid said “this year's dance was my favorite year because I had friends that wanted to dance as much as I did.”

The student body kept the dance floor alive.

Freshman Karly Bandel said, “It was so much fun.” She said it was fun because she had all of her friends and classmates there and dancing was “a blast.”

St. Francis sophomore Jordan Raby said “It felt like a lot more people got up and danced than people did last year.”

St. Francis freshman Alondra Gomez  said, “ she loved spending time with her friends, it was very exciting. She also loved that everyone danced with everyone and that everyone laughed all the time.”

Because St. Francis doesn’t host junior high dances, it was the first school dance for all of the freshmen.

St. Francis freshmen Isaiah Lee said, “I thought it was pretty fun and I didn’t know what to expect.”
