Classifications for 2016-2017 Released
The Kansas State High School Activities Association has released the official enrollments and classifications for the remainder of the 2016-2017 school year. St. Francis High School has 89 students in grades 10-12 and will be classified in Class 1A for basketball, wrestling, track, and other activities. Class 1A consists of schools with enrollments between 91 and 23 students.
Other area schools in Class 1A are Northern Valley, Cheylin, Brewster, Dighton, Wheatland-Grinnell, Healy, Jetmore, Thunder Ridge, LaCrosse, Logan, Osborne, Palco, Quinter, Western Plains, Satanta, Wallace County, Stockton, Greeley County, Victoria, Weskan, and Triplains.
Area schools in Class 2A are Rawlins County, Ellis, Hill City, Hoxie, Stanton County, Wichita County, Meade, Ness City, Oakley, Decatur Community, Plainville, Smith Center, Sublette, and Trego Community.
Hoxie moved up to 2A from 1A, and St. Francis moved from 2A to 1A.
