Saint Francis senior Taylor Rogers weaves through the Hoxie Indians as another senior Brock Waters gets ready to block on Friday night in Hoxie.

The Friday night lights were shining bright on the Saint Francis Indians when they beat the Hoxie Indians, 50-0 on Sep. 30 in Hoxie, Kan. The game ended at the beginning of the third quarter when the Sainty Indians marched down the field in quick fashion to score yet another touchdown.

“My favorite play in the game was the touchdown Taylor [Rogers] scored right before halftime,” said Brock Waters, Saint Francis senior. “I looked back and there were four Hoxie players on the ground looking like they couldn’t believe what just happened.”

Saint Francis passed for 213 yards and rushed 156 yards, while keeping Hoxie at only 91 total offensive yards.

“My favorite part was when I tipped a pass to Taylor for an interception,” said Quinton Cravens, Saint Francis senior. “We just need to work on cleaning up the little things.”

The Saint Francis Indians play the Atwood Buffalos for the Yoke Bowl in Atwood on Friday, Oct. 7 at 7 p.m.

“I think we’re going to work on stopping Atwood’s running game and try to make them pass,” said Waters.

“It’s fun being on such a great team. Friday’s game was a lot of fun,” said junior Tate Busse. “I’m really looking forward to the Atwood game.”
