The Sainty Indian Football Team Charges for Playoffs

The Saint Francis Indians continue to stand undefeated on Thurs., Oct. 27 when they defeated Wakeeney, 54-0.

The Indians played a quick game and brought home the win in the second quarter when the game was called due to the the 45-point mercy rule.

“I felt I did pretty good at reading the guards at linebacker,” said Brady Dinkel, Saint Francis freshman. “I’m excited to go deep at the playoffs.”

Connor Keller, Saint Francis sophomore, said he’s also excited about the potential for the Indians.

“It was just fun getting the W and making it to the playoffs,” said Keller. “I’m just excited to get that ring on my finger.”

Rodney Yates, Saint Francis head varsity football coach, said he was proud of the team’s execution.

“We executed really well,” said Yates. “The team that executes outperforms the other.”

The Indians will now go on to the playoffs with the first game being Tues., Nov. 1 against Ness City on the Indians home field.
