The Indians Skin the Timberwolves, Continue Chasing Gold

The Indians shut down the Timberwolves' offense, ending the game at the beginning of the third quarter 48-0.The Saint Francis Indian Football team became the Regional Champions when they defeated the South Central Timberwolves Saturday. It was a clean sweep for the Indians when they ended the game in the beginning of the third quarter with a score of 48-0.
The Indians now charge toward the state semi-finals where they will take on the defending state champions Spearville on Sainty’s home field on Friday, Nov. 11, at 6 p.m.
Taylor Rogers’ 77-yard punt return for a touchdown was a game highlight for Tate Busse, Saint Francis junior. “He’s so fast,” said Busse.
“I hope to have good week of practice to get us ready for Friday’s game. It’s going to be the toughest yet,” said Busse.
The highlight for Quinton Cravens, Saint Francis senior, was working together as a team to keep the other team from scoring the entire game.

“There were so many big plays, it was great to see the whole team play so well,” said Rogers.
Devin Dinkel, Saint Francis defensive coordinator, said the team played well once they overcame some errors.
“We made a few mistakes early, on both offense and defense, which can be expected after a long bus trip,” Dinkel said. “Once we got settled in, we were pretty tough.”
On Friday night, the Indians need everyone who is able to cheer them on and to fill the stands in green and gold. We know that Spearville will have many fans cheering them on, so come out and support the Indians as they continue chasing gold.
