Music Students Selected to Attend Mini-Convention

JennaSix St. Francis High School music students will be attending the Northwest District KMEA Mini-Convention at Fort Hays State University on Saturday, December 10. The six students were selected through difficult auditions. Participating in the Honor Choir will be April Fernandez (soprano 1), Katie Schmid (alto 1), and Taryn Zweygardt (tenor 2). Participating in the Honor Band will be Jessica Confer (4th chair trumpet), Nick Paulsen (5th chair trumpet), and Jenna Confer (2nd chair clarinet). Jenna will receive a 4-year medal at the concert for her participation in the event for four consecutive years.

The concert will take place at 3:30 p.m. in the Beach-Schmidt Performing Arts Center on the campus of Fort Hays State University.
