C-Team Girls Lose By One

On Tuesday, December 13, the St. Francis Junior High C-Team girls basketball team traveled to Atwood to compete with the Rawlins County Lady Buffaloes. The game was not on the original schedule, but was recently added to give the young ladies a chance for more playing time. Both Rawlins County and St. Francis have good numbers of participants in their junior high girls basketball program.

Both the Lady Indians and the Lady Buff had difficulty scoring in the early portion of the contest. St. Francis led 6-4 at halftime. Both teams found the basket with better regularity in the second half. At the game's conclusion, the Lady Indians trailed by a single point, 15-16.

Amy Jenkins led the Lady Indians in scoring with 4 four points. A total of seven Lady Indians contributed to the scoring total. Others scoring in the contest included Bree De Waal 2, Mireya Palasio-Rocha 2, Bailey Workman 2, Hailey Robbins 2, Dani Broughman 2. and Lydia Jenkins 1. Amy Jenkins earned three steals in the game. The Lady Indians made 1 of 2 from the free-throw line.
