Indians Win RC Quad; Two New Records Set
Lady Indians Place Second
The Rawlins County Quad Track Meet was held on Thursday, April 20, under beautiful weather conditions. The Indians earned a first place team finish scoring 105.5 team points to best second-place finisher Quinter with 62.5. The Lady Indians placed second in the girls division behind Rawlins County with 74 points. During the meet, Garin Cooper set a new school record in the triple jump with a lead of 37' 3.5", bettering the mark he set two days earlier in the St. Francis Invitational. Mia Morrow also set a new 7th grade girls record in the triple jump with a leap of 27' 10". The mark erased the old record of 27' 9.5" set by Megan Rice in 2002.
St. Francis boy athletes placing first in an event included: Garin Cooper, long jump and triple jump; Adam Krien, 100m and 200m; Ben Busse, 800m; Jesse Baxter, discus; Tyson Poling, high jump; Shadryon Blanka, pole vault; and all three relay teams--4 X 100m, 4 X 200m, and 4 X 400m. Lady Indians placing first were: McKenna Poling, 100m, 200m, and 400m; Amy Jenkins 800m; the 4 X100m relay, and 4 X 200m relay.
Boys Division
St. Francis placed first with 105.5 team points. Quinter earned second place with 62.5. Rawlins County was third with 51, and Dighton 4th with 35.

Girls DivisionRawlins County won the girls division scoring 97 team points. St. Francis placed second with 74. Quinter earned third with 57 team points while Dighton was fourth with 29.
