Quinter Invitational--Boys 1st, Girls 11th

The Quinter Invitational Track and Field Meet was held on Friday, April 28, under cool and breezy conditions. Twenty teams braved the conditions to compete. St. Francis won the boys division scoring 98 team points. The Lady Indians placed 11th with 15 points.

St. Francis athletes winning first place were Jordan Raby, 100 meters and 400 meters; and Taylor Rogers, 200 meters. The boys 4 X 400 meter relay team and the girls 4 X 400 meter relay teams each placed first. Click here for complete results from the meet.

Boys Division

St. Francis won the boys division with 98 points. Wallace County placed 2nd with 67 and Northern Valley 3rd with 55. The rest of boys teams finished in the following order:  4th - Brewster 50, 5th - Ellis 48, 6th (tie) - Dighton 38, 6th (tie) -Stockton 38, 8th - Hill City 37, 9th - Wheatland-Grinnell 29, 10th (tie) - Natoma 18, !0th (tie) - Greeley County 18, 10th (tie) Weskan 18, 14th - Palco 16, 15th - Quinter 5, 16th - Golden Plains 3, 17th (tie) - Ness City 1, and 17th (tie) - Hoxie 1.

St. Francis athletes placing in the meet are listed below.

Cody Baxter - 2nd in 110 meter hurdles (17.45), 3rd in 300 meter hurdles (44.42)

Brady Dinkel - 5th in 800 meters (2:15.24)

Trayton Doyle - 4th in discus (123' 0.25")

Wyatt Hackler - 3rd in 100 meters (11.67)

Luin Norris - 2nd in shot put (40' 5.5"), 6th in discus (117' 2.5')

Tiernan Poling - 5th in pole vault (10' 6")

Jordan Raby - 1st in 100 meters (11.44), 1st in 400 (54.22)

Taylor Rogers - 1st in 200 meters (23.61)

Dalton Straub - 2nd in long jump (19' 3.5")

Brock Waters - 6th in triple jump (36' 9")

Tayton Weeter - 4th in pole vault (11' 0")

4 X 400 meter relay - 1st (3:38.52) - Jordan Raby, Wyatt Hackler, Taylor Rogers, Brady Dinkel

Girls Division

The girls division was tightly contested with three teams finishing close in the top three positions. Ellis won the Quinter Invitational scoring 69 team points. Wallace County placed second with 63.5 and Wheatland-Grinnell third with 61 team points. The remainder of the girls teams finished in the following order:  4th - Northern Valley 50.5, 5th - Golden Plains 49, 6th (tie)- Quinter 47, 6th (tie) - Dighton 47, 8th - Hill City 32, 9th - Palco 26, 10th - Natoma 19, 11th - St. Francis 15, 12th (tie) - Stockton 14, `12th (tie) - Triplains 14, 12th (tie) - Hoxie 14, 16th - Weskan 10, 17th - Cheylin (7), and 18th - Greeley County 6.

Alondra Gomez - 6th in pole vault (7' 0")

Taighe Weeter - 5th in 800 meters (2:44.64)

4 X 100 meter relay - 5th (56.38) - Madison Tice, Hannah Zimbal, Jylian Laten, and Lindsey Johnson

4 X 400 meter relay - 1st (4:36.17) - Madison Tice, Hannah Zimbal, Reagan Beims, and Taighe Weeter

​The track teams will be competing in the Colby Invitational on May 5.
