Indians Earn Sixth in State Meet

Several SFCHS athletes qualified for the Kansas High School State Track Meet by qualif.ying in the top four positions in the Region 24 Track Meet held in Hays on May 19. The athletes competed well in the State Meet, with several setting new personal records. The Indians earned a 6th place team finish scoring 36 points at State. The Lady Indians did not score, but ran well during their competition.

Results of SFCHS athletes at the State Meet are listed below.

Cody Baxter - 14th in 100 meter hurdles (17.83); 15th in 300 meter hurdles (44.98)

Wyatt Hackler - 7th in 100 meters (11.26 PR)

Tiernan Poling - 13th in pole vault (11' 0" PR)

Jordan Raby - 3rd in 400 meters (51.46), 8th in 100 meters (11.44)

Taylor Rogers - 8th in 200 meters (23.59)

Dalton Straub - 11th in long jump (19' 1.50")

Tayton Weeter - 9th in pole vault (12' 0")

Boys 4 X 100 meter relay - 1st (43.953) - Wyatt Hackler, Jordan Raby, Tate Busse, and Taylor Rogers

Boys 4 X 400 meter relay - 1st (3:25.71) - Jordan Raby, Wyatt Hackler, Taylor Rogers, and Tate Busse

Boys 4 X 800 meter relay - 3rd (8:36.38) - Tate Busse, K.C. Krien, Brady Dinkel, and Brock Waters

Girls 4 X 800 meter relay - 10th (11:02.24) - Hannah Zimbal, Taighe Weeter, Lauren Johnson, and Reagan Beims
