Junior High League Volleyball Tournament To Be Held
Launch the media gallery 1 playerThe Northwest Kansas League (NWKL) Junior High Volleyball Tournament will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2017. Participating schools include: Decatur Community, Dighton, Greeley County, Hoxie, Quinter, Rawlins County, St. Francis, and Wallace County.
The tournament will be held in two divisions. The A team division will be held in Dighton, and the B team division will compete in St. Francis. The eight NWKL schools will be seeded according to record and then will be divided into two pools of play in each division. Pool 1 will include seeds 1, 4, 5, and 8. Pool 2 will include seeds 2, 3, 6, and 7. Seeding will be completed on Friday, October 13, 2017.
All matches will be played 2 of 3 sets, with any 3rd set being played to 15 points. The first and second place teams from each bracket will cross-bracket (with the 1st place teams staying at the gym their pool was played in) for the two semifinal matches. The winners of the two semifinal matches will play for the NWKL championship in the "Pool 1" Gym; the losers of the two semifinal matches will play for 3rd and 4th in the "Pool 2" Gym.
Admission is $5 for adults and $4 for students. NO passes will be accepted.
