Junior High Boys Basketball Tournament Information
Launch the media gallery 1 playerThe Northwest Kansas League Junior High Boys Basketball Tournament will be held in Quinter on Thursday, December 14, and Saturday, December 16. The tournament will be competed in two divisions; A-team and B-team. The seeding was completed on Friday, December 8.
In the A-team division, St. Francis was seeded 7th with a record of 2-6. The A-team will play Hoxie at 2:15 p.m. in the Varisty Gym in Quinter on Thursday, December 14. The results of the A-team seeding were: 1 - Greeley County 9-1; 2 - Hoxie 6-1; 3 - Decatur Community 5-2; 4 - Quinter 5-3; 5 - Rawlins County 3-5; 6 - Dighton 2-5; 7 - St. Francis 2-6; and 8 - Wallace County 0-8.
In the B-team division, St. Francis was seeded 1st with a record of 8-0. The B-team will play Wallace County at 1:00 p.m. in the Varsity Gym in Quinter on Thursday, December 14. The results of the B-team seeding were: 1 - St. Francis 8-0; 2 - Quinter 6-2; 3 - Rawlins County 5-2; 4 - Hoxie 4-3; 5 - Greeley County 3-4; 6 - Decatur Community 2-5; 7 - Dighton 2-5; and 8- Wallace County 0-7.
A loss in the first round of the tournament eliminates a team from further action. A first-round win insures that the team will play two more games on Saturday, December 16. If the A-team wins their game on Thursday, they will play at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday in the Varsity Gym. If the B-team wins on Thursday, they will play at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday in the Varsity Gym. The opponent(s) will be determined by the outcome of Thursday's contests.
