More than a friendly face: Hanna Bracelin
Launch the media gallery 1 playerEveryone in high school has their own hopes, dreams and even fears about how things will go. Hanna Bracelin seems to have figured it out as she is taking on her senior year. She is someone who seems to have taken the advice “enjoy it while you can.” Bracelin always is the first one to say hello when you see her walk down the halls.
“As a senior, I hope that I will be the leader my team needs me to be,” said Bracelin. “The best part about being a senior is knowing how close I am to being done with high school. The thing I am looking forward to most is spreading my wings and learning how to be an adult. The best thing I will take away from Saint Francis high school's is coach Zweygardt being a great role model and person. Even though coach Zweygardt was only here three out of my four years, she has been the most influential. Being an athlete throughout my high school career has been very beneficial. I have learned many life lessons through sports and I will carry that to college.” Bracelin says.
Karly Bandel, sophomore, said she hopes to lead by Hanna’s example. “Hanna is a great leader to our team and a great person. When I’m a senior I hope to be the leader she is,” Bandel said.
ShayLinn Zweygardt coaches junior high volleyball, high school and junior high basketball for Saint Francis. Bracelin has aided Zweygardt with junior high sports.
“This is Hanna’s second year helping with junior high sports. I’m going to really miss her fun, competitive personality and drive,” Zweygardt said. “She inspires the younger athletes at SFCHS to be their best everyday.”
Bracelin has played three sports each year of her high school career.
“Hanna is a very smart, strong and talented young lady,” Zweygardt said. “She has done a great job leading by example. Her court knowledge and performance in the classroom are exceptional. I’m excited for her senior year. She did awesome during volleyball season. Since basketball practice has started she has consistently shown that this is going to be her best season yet.”
