Featuring: Dennis Potter

Dennis Potter came to St. Francis in 2012 in purple skinny jeans. When he first came here, it was to take care of his grandmother Ester. He is the youngest with eight sisters.

You may not recognize Potter nowadays because he’s cut his long hair. He had been growing it out for three and a half years after his aunt started losing her hair to chemotherapy for cancer treatments. Potter cut his hair to donate to cancer patients.

Dennis did FFA all four years of high school and was a renowned salesmen. Tiffany Poet, FFA Advisor, said “Dennis is one of the top salespeople and one of the most dependable helpers in concessions over the years. His financial contributions far outweighed many other members over the years.” Poet also added that Dennis’s attitude was always good and he has a good work ethic.

Blake Utsler, fellow classmate of Dennis’s, said, “[Dennis] is straight to the point and doesn’t hold back. When truth needs to be told, he says nothing but the truth whether people like it or not.” Others can attest to this.

Potter doesn’t let anything slide so if you want to give him heck, be ready because he will send it right back. Potter plans to go to Fort Scott Community College to become a Harley Davidson technician.
