Junior High Students Recognized For Citizenship

McKenna, Hadleigh, Mia, Cutter, Shannon, and BenMany awards were distributed at the Junior High Awards Assembly on Monday evening, May 7. The most prestigious of the awards given were the citizenship awards. Each year the State of Kansas gives a citizenship award to one 8th grade girl and one 8th grade boy. St. Francis Community Schools also selects two more recipients for citizenship awards. The awards are determined by a vote of the junior high faculty and staff.
Receiving the two local citizenship awards for girls were McKenna Poling and Mia Morrow. Boys selected for the awards were Cutter Neitzel and Ben Nelson. Receiving the highly prestigious Kansas State Awards were Hadleigh Hilt and Shannon Rethke.
