Homecoming Activities Throughout the Week

September 10-15 is Homecoming Week for St. Francis Community Schools. Many activities are planned throughout the week leading up to the homecoming football game with the Dighton Hornets on Friday and the Homecoming Dance on Saturday. Each day has been given a "theme" for Homecoming Week.

Monday will be "Meme Day." Students are encouraged to dress up as their favorite meme. At 3:15 p.m. the cheerleaders will teach the elementary students to the grade school students. The junior varsity football game with Greeley County originally scheduled for the day has been canceled due to low numbers of players on the Jackrabbit team. At 6:30 p.m., the seniors will "paint the streets" following a long-time tradition for Homecoming Week.

Tuesday is designated as "Career Day," and students will dress as their desired career. The day is also "Volleyball Recognition Day," and at 4:00 p.m. the volleyball team will play Wallace County and Greeley County in Sharon Springs.

The theme for Wednesday is "PJ Day." Students will wear their favorite pajamas to school. Also on Wednesday, the FFA Land Judging Team will participate in the district land judging contest in Norton.

Thursday is "Nerd Day." We are guaranteed to see some crazy outfits on Thursday! On Thursday, the volleyball teams will host Lone Star and Idalia. The junior high volleyball and football teams will play in Dighton at 4:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. respectively. The Homecoming Bonfire will be held at the High School at 8:00 p.m. An ice cream social sponsored by the First National Bank will be held in the High School Cafeteria after the bonfire.

On Friday, "Green and Gold Day," everyone is encouraged to dress in green and gold to show support for the Indians. A pep rally will be held in the High School Gymnasium at 2:30 p.m. At 7:00 p.m., the homecoming football game will kick-off against the Dighton Hornets.

On Saturday, the Homecoming Dance will be held at the High School from 8:00-11:30 p.m.

Good luck, Indians and Lady Indians!
