NWKL Volleyball Tournament Saturday
The Northwest Kansas League Volleyball Tournament will be held in Hoxie on Saturday, October 13. The tournament will begin at 9:00 a.m. and will be played on two courts. Competition will be held in both the Hoxie Grade School and Hoxie High School gymnasiums.
Participating schools include Decatur Community, Dighton, Greeley County, Hoxie, Quinter, Rawlins County, St. Francis and Wallace County.
Admission in $5 for adults and 44 for students. No passes will be accepted for admission.
Teams were seeded on Wednesday, October 10 according to their season records.. Teams were divided into two pools of competition by record. The top two teams in each pool will advance to bracket play to determine the league champion. Pool A, which will include seeds 1, 4, 5, & 8, will play at the High School. Pool B, which will consist of seeds 2, 3, 6, & 7, will conduct pool play at the Grade School.
Results of the seeding are as follows: 1-St. Francis, 2-Dighton, 3-Rawlins County, 4-Hoxie, 5-Wallace County, 6-Decatur Community, 7-Quinter, and 8-Greeley County.

A 30-minute break will follow pool play.
Bracket play at the High School will be between the Pool A #1 team and the Pool B #2 team. Bracket play at the Grade School will involve the Pool B #1 team vs the Pool A #2 team. The championship match will be held in the Hoxie High School Gymnasium.
